The girls basketball season didn’t go the way they expected when they lost head coach Ron Edwards. After he resigned, Bethany Evan and Kristen Brock became co-head coaches of the team for the remaining of the season.

The team started to come together and pick up some wins that they desperately needed. Then come All A, when they would get eliminated in the second round of the tournament at OBI. So they had to rebuild and get ready for later on in the season for district at home court.

The season ended in the first round of district against the Harlan County Black Bears. The lady jackets got blown out at 69-30. The Lady Jackets will be losing three seniors now going into next season.

The seniors include Jamayha Poe, Hannah Warren, and Malorie Carter. All of them stepped up and tried to help the team the best they could to try to win each and every game that they played. They all fought hard through the season, even after everything that happened during the season early on.
