I want to start by saying the year before was a very hard year for the team. Our record was 1-10. So, this year our football team went to camp, looking really good. Everyone was ready to go! While at camp our team scrimmaged Harrison County. Our teams played really well–we ended up winning!

While at camp our team lost Trey Watkins to season ending injury. After camp, our team came back home to get ready to face Bell County. For us, this was a huge game. They are our rivals, and the first game of the season. This game really hurt the team. We didn’t just lose the game but we lost, both of our quarterbacks and our safety. We still end up winning 2 games. So as you can see this was another hard year for the team.

After seeing how the year went for the team, it’s easy to say a way for the team to do better this year is try to prevent injury. Keep working and push to do better. Now for some pros and cons of football. Pros for football are health benefits, discipline, work ethic, teamwork, and it takes toughness. Cons for football are that it is rough on your body, and the list of injury is very long.

Finally, after writing this I hope you can see how football is at Middlesboro High School. I also hope you see how rough the team had it. This year, hopefully the team does better and has less injuries.
