Middlesboro’s cross-country team this season is doing exceptionally well. The women finished 1st in their last meet, along with the whole team finishing in the top 5 on-average. They as a whole have been focussing and practicing to get their times under 25 minutes.

Mallory James, an eighth grader, finished first with a time of 20:49.81. Grace Rose, a freshman, finished in 23:08.94. Jocelyn Wright, a freshman, finished 6th. Her time was 23:56.09. Booklyn Grigsby, a junior, finished 15th at 25:04.59. Katelyn Delk, a freshman, finished at 25:07.34. And at 20th place eight grader Makenna Schneider finished at 27:02.28.

They will travel to regionals at Wayne County on October 28th. The top two teams will travel to State along with the top 10 runners also being eligible for State.

Let’s give them a mighty good luck from all your fellow students at Middlesboro High!
